Roger Williams University
What a great visit to Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI today! First of all, we ran into the friendliest people on our tour, who took the time to chat with us: Dean of the business school who told us that undergrads can be Bloomberg certified by gradation; Professor of Construction Management who talked to us about the fantastic career opportunities for his students, and a research assistant who gave us the scoop on the amazing marine biology major with an aquatic animal diagnostics lab and a shellfish hatchery. They do surgery on fish here! RWU requires a core concentration of 5 classes in addition to a traditional major which allows students to pursue a second area of interest without the commitment of a double major. They also have a fantastic architecture program with the opportunity for 2 additional years for a master's degree. I was impressed with what I heard about job prospects for students in these programs and others including Forensic Science and Cybersecurity - where they're getting scouting for jobs well before graduation. In short, RWU is a place with great hands-on opportunities and impressive outcomes
